Laptop Repair Nottingham If you have a laptop or netbook that cuts out or suffers from blue screen of death (BSOD) Then it may have a virus, malware or a memory fault. Overheating can also be a big problem with laptops, we are able to offer laptop repair service at our Nottingham workshop (also see Diagnostic page). Broken power socket, DC jack or even motherboard fault we are able to repair most faults. If your LCD screen, LED screen is cracked then a screen replacement will be required, Broken screens are not usually repairable. You may just need Data Recovery (see data recovery page) and the laptop or netbook reinstalling to factory settings as it may be running slow. It is a good idea to do this every couple of years. After a hard drive (HDD) failure or virus removal (most virus and malware can be removed without the need for a reinstall) replacement hard drive however will require reinstall to factory settings, from original CDs supplied with the laptop. Some laptops have a hidden partition with all original software that was supplied. This may be recoverable. So remember to keep a backup of all your data. If the laptop software asks you to create master recovery cd when you first set it up then it’s a good plan to do it. Not all parts are readily available for laptop or if they are then the cost is often high but items like power supplies (AC Adapters), hard drives, keyboards and replacement screens are available.
